Is it really free to start selling my music?
Yes. The entry tier costs nothing to onboard and includes free distribution to all major DSPs plus the smart-link tool. Direct download / merch / fan-funding features are available on higher tiers — see the pricing page.
How much of my revenue do I keep?
You keep 70% of Net Receipts after DSP fees and applicable taxes. For direct download and merch sales, you keep up to 90% net of payment processor fees, depending on plan tier.
Do I keep ownership of my music?
Always. Be Musix never takes ownership of your masters or compositions. You authorize us to distribute and collect on your behalf — that’s it.
Which platforms will my music be on?
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Anghami, Boomplay, JioSaavn, Pandora, SoundCloud, Beatport (where applicable) and 30+ regional DSPs.
How long until my music goes live after upload?
Most DSPs ingest releases within 2–7 business days. We recommend submitting at least 14 days before your release date so DSPs can process editorial pitch and pre-save pages.
How do smart links work and do they cost extra?
Every release gets a free smart link. Fans tap one link and we route them to their preferred store automatically. Click tracking, geo-targeting and A/B testing come with paid tiers.
Can I sell merch or physical items along with my music?
Yes — bundle audio downloads with t-shirts, vinyl, posters or exclusive content at checkout. Shipping integrations available on growth tier and above.
When and how do I get paid?
Royalties are reported monthly. Payouts are processed between the 15th–20th of each month if your balance exceeds USD 50, via Bank Transfer, bKash or Payoneer.
What about taxes?
You submit a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) once during onboarding. We apply the correct withholding automatically and provide year-end statements you can use for filing.
Can I take a release down later?
Yes. Voluntary takedowns are processed for a small administrative fee per release. DMCA / valid legal takedowns are always free.
