Please note that prior to sending the releases of a particular label to Beatport, the label must be approved by the service.
For that, the label needs to have a first sellable (it has a tick mark) release in Backstage.
To apply for Label Approval on Beatport, send the following to your local Support team:
- Name of the label as it will appear in its releases’ metadata
- Links to label social media
- Listen links to 2 releases, where applicable
- List of associated artists
- Planned release schedule
- Genres your label will be releasing (see list below)
- Label logo (square, between 500×500 and 2999×2999 pixels, the file must be .jpg or non-transparent .png)
If the label already exists on Beatport, approval as well as a switch from the previous distributor to Believe are required.
To request approval and switch of an existing label, reach out to your Support Team.
Beatport will ask the label’s previous distributor to confirm the switch. In order to avoid delays, advise the label’s previous distributor of the coming switch request.
Please note that each Friday Beatport features releases that have been released since Saturday the week before.
If Beatport is one of the key stores for your catalog, we highly suggest that you take this information into consideration and schedule your upcoming releases accordingly.
